How to create the feel of a Hogwarts common room while you study or work from home

In my last post I mentioned that I enjoy “gamified walking” through playing augmented reality games – specifically Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Maybe it’s the millennial in me, but Harry Potter in general brings me a lot of joy. Now that it’s Fall, with the leaves starting to change and the aroma of Pumpkin Spice Lattes wafting through the air, it’s the perfect time of year to over-index on cozy vibes and create some happiness while doing so.

My favorite way to get that magical feeling while working or taking care of mundane tasks is to put on an Ambient Worlds YouTube video and let the music do the work for me. My favorite videos are Harry Potter related, like the Hogwarts Great Hall or Gryffindor Common Room, but there are plenty more to choose from.

If Harry Potter isn’t your thing, you could study in Wakanda, cook dinner on Pandora, or even do housework in Tron’s Grid.

I hope this method for adding a touch of whimsy to your day brings you joy. I’m sending some Fall happiness out into the universe to you. Be well!
